Service has always been at the core of the Kitchen’s operations and by providing hot nutritious meals on a daily basis to those in need we fill a vital community void. We provide our patrons, and all who enter our doors, a safe space where fellowship and community are encouraged and where everyone is treated with respect and dignity.

Community meal service

Anyone in need is welcome at GNCK where we serve hot, nutritious meals 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Monday through Friday our doors open at 4:30pm and the community meal is served from 5:30-6:30pm. On weekends, the community meal is served from 5:00-6:00pm.

GNCK’s "Producemobile" food distribution program occurs at GNCK - 7649 N. Paulina - on the 3rd Monday of each month from 9:30am to 1:00pm. In cooperation with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the Producemobile provides fresh fruit, vegetables and other foods to families in need. This is the only regular food giveaway program we operate. The amount of foods we distribute via the Producemobile can be quite heavy and often exceeds 30-40 pounds of food per family. Therefore, we encourage families to bring their own boxes, a wagon or a cart. In case of last minute schedule changes, we recommend that all persons interested in receiving food from the Producemobile call our office the Friday before the scheduled distribution date.

After school snack program
